OW Data Miner version 1.3

Postby Alex » Fri Jan 02, 2009 3:50 pm

New version 1.3 of standalone tool OW Data Miner is available at

http://www.newhavensoft.net/OWMiner13.zip

OW Data Miner implements simple interface to the web site www.soccerway.com. It can be used to create and maintain over 300 national and international soccer and hockey leagues that are currently missing in the list of Odds Wizard's regular updates.

Installation:

1. Download and save OWMiner13.zip (~260 kbytes) to disk.
2. Unpack the contents (5 files) to any folder.
3. Run OWMiner.exe.

New features as compared to version 1.2:

1. Support of the new format of soccerway files.
2. Option 'Hide fixtures' allows either to show (by default) or hide fixtures in the target league file.

Thanks for the update Alex, but version 1.3 is not working on my system and all I get is an error message "connection closed gracefully".
I tried out all the available features and even disabled my firewall without success. :(

Edit: could be a problem with the Soccerway server...I will try again later.

Thanks a lot for the notification. Indeed, soccerway experiments with the data rendering. Data formats have been changed twice during this day. URL redirections have been turned on again, so there may be the problem in the certain browser / firewall configurations.

We are monitoring all these changes, and are going to release a patch version as soon as possible, hopefully in a couple of days.
